Dear Global Leadership Students,
I really enjoyed reading all of the papers. They were thoughtful and candid, and even humorous at times. I’d like to address a few of the points that cropped up in your reflections on your visit to New Vrindaban. I’ll try to keep my responses brief.

When I was at school, I remember reading in one of Prabhupada’s books that the modern educational system was like a slaughterhouse. To be completely frank, I thought Srila Prabhupada was exaggerating. I was thinking, “Its not that bad … a slaughterhouse? That’s a bit of an extreme statement!” It’s only until I went to university, and I saw first-hand the things that go on, that I realized that Prabhupada was in no way exaggerating, he was 108% right, as always.

We would like to present some of the lessons that we have learnt from our experience of university preaching, to hopefully inspire our readers to also find ways of preaching to others in new and creative ways.

Hare Krishna all!
I would like any advice on running a successful university program. Here in Melbourne, Australia, we do not have a presence at any of the universities and the word from the devotees is they have been 'hard to crack'.
Orientation week for the new students arriving is in a few weeks and, as I am a part time student and can get a free stall from the student union, I would like to use the oppurtunity to run some kind of program.
